The Lord’s Name is praised every day of the year within the hallowed walls of All Souls’ Church. Here are descriptions of our Sunday & Saturday and weekday worship services.
Sunday & Saturday Services.
Saturday
5:30 p.m.
Holy Communion (Rite I) with sermon in the Church. Organ prelude and postlude, sung service music, and a congregational hymn.
Sunday
8:00 a.m.
Holy Communion (1928 Book of Common Prayer) with sermon in the Church. Organ prelude and postlude and sung service music. Youth acolytes serve at this service, and the nursery is available.
10:00 a.m.
Holy Communion (Rite I) with sermon in the Church. The adult choir and organ lead the congregation in singing hymns and service music. The choir regularly sings anthems and, on feast days, choral mass settings (accompanied by orchestra on the greatest feast days). Youth acolytes serve at this service, and our children’s choirs sing occasionally. The nursery and children’s chapel are available.
5:00 p.m.
Sunday Chapel: Holy Communion (Rite II) with sermon in the Chapel of St. Mary, most Sunday evenings throughout the year (except when Evensong is scheduled). An acoustic guitarist-singer leads the congregation in contemporary hymns.
Evensong: Once a month from September to May, Evensong is the Sunday 5pm service. Evensong is centered around the reading of Holy Scripture, with psalms and scriptural canticles sung by the choir, chanted prayers, a choral anthem, and congregational hymns.
Weekday Services
in the Chapel of St. Mary
MONDAY–FRIDAY
8:30 a.m.
Morning Prayer (1928 Book of Common Prayer), led by the clergy.
5:30 p.m. *
Evening Prayer (1928 Book of Common Prayer), led by lay readers.
The Daily Offices of Morning Prayer & Evening Prayer are centered around the praying of the Psalms and the reading of Holy Scripture, interspersed with scriptural canticles, ancient prayers, and intercessions for the needs of the parish. These quiet services are approximately 25 minutes long.
* On Thursdays and feast days, Holy Communion replaces Evening Prayer.

Noon
Holy Communion (1928 Book of Common Prayer), with anointing for healing.

The Reconciliation of a Penitent
Confession is available throughout the week by appointment with a member of the clergy.
