Dr. Laura VanderWindt. Organist/Choir Director
Dr. Vander Windt.jpgA native of northwest Iowa, Laura vander Windt began piano and organ study
at an early age and started playing for church services at age 11.  After an
undergraduate degree at Dordt College in Sioux Center, IA, Laura completed
the Master of Music and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees in Organ Performace
and Literature at the Eastman School of Music, studying with the late
Russell Saunders.  Laura was also awarded the school's prestigious
Perfomer's Certificate.

Before taking the position as Organist/Choirmaster at All Souls in 1990, Dr.
vander Windt held church positions in Iowa and New York and was named winner
of the Arthur Poister National Organ Playing Competition.

She has served in many capacities in the Oklahoma City Chapter of the
American Guild of Organists, most recently as Dean. She also sits on the
Diocesan  Music Commission and is a board member and past president of her
neighborhood association.

She is married to McLain Rose.
