The Reverend John Lock, Curate

Fr. Lock was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was baptized at St. John's Episcopal Cathedral in Albuquerque. He completed his undergraduate work at the University of Delaware in English Literature and Jewish Studies. Before going to seminary, he worked as a nanny in Santa Fe, caring for his twin godsons. 

He studied at Trinity School for Ministry in Ambridge, Pennsylvania, north of Pittsburgh. While in seminary, he received a scholarship for theological education, endowed by a late member of All Souls'. His scholarly pursuits include Greek, Hebrew and Latin as well as the writings of the church fathers, particularly St. Augustine of Hippo. He was ordained to the diaconate on 7 June 2008 by Bishop Bill Frey, and to the priesthood on 9 May 2009 by Bishop Konieczny at All Souls' Church. He has a passion for teaching and Bible study.

He and his wife Bonnie were married in June 2006. They have two young children, Hannah and Isaiah. In his spare time Fr. Lock enjoys reading literature and traditional wood-working with hand tools.
